2nd Alarm in Roxbury

It figures that i just decided to take a nap and Boston strikes it's second 2nd alarm of the day. First one was on Sumner Street in East Boston. Jakes from Engine 9 and Ladder 2 got caught in a flashover and District Chief Hartnett struck a 2nd alarm. The 2nd one was at 71 Savin Street in Roxbury off Blue Hill Ave. Engine 24 went off with smoke showing and District Chief Mitchell struck the 2nd. Difficult access for Jakes due to debris.

West Roxbury MVA

One of those things that make you go hmmmm. Responded to an accident at 302 Corey Street in West Roxbury about 12:30pm and came across a Cherokee Laredo into a telephone pole. Obviously the pole won but how she came to hit it remains a mystery. Chalk it up to the head scratcher column.

Fire in Roslindale

Just about 11:40am this morning, Boston struck a box for a fire in a Nail Salon at 4401 Washington Street in the Roslindale section. I responded with about a 10 minute response time. Very quick knockdown and as usual a great job by the District 10 Jakes!
