This moring's fire in Brookline is a good example of "you never know". Just about 9:15am, Engine 3 and Ladder 2 were stilled out for a Central Station Alarm at 1477 Beacon Street between Washington Square and Coolidge Corner. The building a 6 story apartment building and occupied by a diverse groop of occupants in age. Lt. Justin Robinson reported a fire in the elevator shaft and extending up. The box assignment filled followed by a 2nd alarm by Deputy Chief Flaherty. Aggresive inside attacks contained the fire to the 6th floor. Great job as usual guys!

Just wanted to say thank you very much to everyone who helped us at 1477! As a resident of the building, I am incredibly greatful for the amazing work you all did. Not only did you keep us safe, but you kept us well informed and made sure we all had a place to sleep. Thank you very very much.
I also live at 1477, so I'll add my thanks in too. Your job is difficult in itself, but I felt like you went out of your way to help all of us in terms of talking to us, informing us, and all that.
And yes, I'm definitely going to clean my room. Heh.
Thanks again and keep safe doing what you do!
